J.R. Vistins

My name is Andris Vistins but you can call me J.R. I was born in fort hood to a military family and grew up in Schertz TX. I went to Samuel Clemens high school where I developed a passion for criminal justice and track and field. While on the track team I eventually broke my school record for discus and was recruited to throw for The University of Texas at San Antonio, which is where I am currently enrolled. I was selected to compete at conference and placed three out of my four years helping my team win conference every year!

My other passion in life is animals, I have a rescue dog that I love to go on runs with, and someday I want to foster abused and neglected animals. In the future I hope to be able to combine my passions and become an animal trainer for a police force. I very much enjoy staying fit and being active and am ready and excited to see what life has in store for me!
