We Do Residential Moves In Texas & Florida

There are thousands of reasons we move but it doesn’t make the actual moving part any easier or less overwhelming. Your home is your special place. The place where you relax, unwind, and surround yourself with the things you love. It’s where you keep your comfy bed, your favorite chair, your album collection, and your family photos. No matter what, you need movers you can trust!

We do home moves of all sizes!

In fact, there isn’t a size of residential house that we would not be able to help with. We do studio apartments all the way up to 10,000 square foot homes — big or small, we can do it all!

My wife and I used Einstein for a residential move, and are INCREDIBLY impressed with the service we received. Jeff and Anthony were punctual, professional, and prompt throughout the entire moving process. They worked hard and delivered phenomenal results for us. I would highly recommend Einstein, and especially Jeff and Anthony, for anybody looking to move. You won’t find better!

Arrival & First Walk-Through

We arrive on time with clean, fully outfitted commercial moving trucks (no trucks and trailers here) and all moving supplies and equipment we might need. This includes padding, shrink wrap, tools, and more! We’ll also conduct our first (of three) walk-throughs of your home. We review room by room with you to:

  1. Get an idea of what isn’t being moved
  2. The basic order of how things will be moved
  3. If any items require special attention or have any pre-existing damages
  4. Confirm the estimate provided over the phone is correct
  5. Once the contract is signed we will begin prepping your home to move.

Preparation

We prep your home by laying down a rug runner or pads to ensure we don’t damage your floors. We also remove doors or set up door jambs to keep entryways clear and protected. This not only helps our movers move your stuff out safely and efficiently, but it can even help move any appliances you might have (e.g. fridges, ovens, etc).

Protection

We pad and shrink wrap everything, and we mean everything, so it’s protected for transit. Our movers will come fully equipped with our own tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture for a complete move. We know your belongings are important to you, that’s why our movers go above and beyond to protect them!

Second Walk-Through

Our team performs a second walk-through before we leave your current home (the one you’re moving from) to make sure:

  1. Everything that needs to be moved is in the truck
  2. We haven’t left any tools or hardware behind
  3. We are ready to go to the destination location

Final Walk-Through

The final walk-through after the move is complete, consists of ensuring all items or furniture are completely assembled and in the exact place you want them.

We encourage you to take advantage of our movers being there to make sure items are exactly where you want them. Sometimes even moving things a few inches can make a big difference in the feel of the room!

We also check all appliances and do a final walk-through to make sure there aren’t any tools or hardware we missed as well as answering any final questions. We will then clean up your home and make sure all of our pads and materials are loaded up in the truck before stopping the clock and signing the final paperwork.

Completion

Once we’ve stopped the clock, we accept payment. Once the contract is closed, we let you know the final move total based on the total hours we worked (or the minimum) and you can pay with cash or credit cards. So relax, we got you! Let us do the heavy lifting.

FAQs

If you are moving within our local free service zone the only thing you pay is our flat, all-inclusive, hourly rate. Absolutely everything is included in that hourly rate.

Taxes and Insurance? Yep.

Dollies, wraps, and pads? Check, check, and double-check.

Gas and the truck? Absolutely.

Tools to disassemble and reassemble things like my bed and appliances? You betcha.

And you want to hear something cool? There are no other fees. Let me repeat that.

There are zero other fees!

The time officially starts when we pick up the first piece of furniture and then you have us for as long as you need us. If or when we go over the minimum, the time is prorated in 15-minute increments. At the end of the day, you only pay for the time we are working and you won’t believe how hard we work!

In general our free service zone is about a 12 to 15 mile radius around our office/headquarters (see Texas and Florida moving locations here).

So if you are moving from and to locations that fall within our free service radius, you will have no extra travel fees associated with the cost of your move. Once we go beyond our free service radius, we apply travel fees to help cover the costs of gas, vehicle wear and tear, and paying our movers for the time to get to and/or from the location.

Our system determines travel fees based on a combination of mileage and average drive time.

Contact us if you’re unsure whether or not you fall within our local free moving zone!

Due to liability concerns, we are unable to move items that weigh more than 400 lbs (with certain exceptions).

Additionally, we do not move grand or baby grand pianos. We can move upright pianos as long as it is not going up or down any stairwells. We encourage you to contact professional piano movers if you’ll be moving a grand piano up or down any flights of stairs.

We do not move pool tables unless it has been disassembled and the slates removed.

Finally, we do not move drugs or drug paraphernalia; perishable items; items prohibited by law; weapons, explosives, flammable liquids, or anything that would otherwise put the safety of our movers, the truck, the customer, or the customer’s belongings at risk. If you are unsure whether your items fall into the categories above, please contact us.

If you would like us to move your appliances for you, there are a few things you can do to prepare:

First, all appliances must be empty of all items including food items in the fridge and freezer. We recommend waiting until the last minute to load these into a cooler. Typically, appliances will be the last items on the truck and the first ones off so that we can minimize the time that food items are out of the fridge.

We also recommend preparing the washer and dryer by disconnecting water lines and dryer hoses. If you prefer, we can disconnect and reconnect the appliances. The movers will have all the tools necessary to complete the work but we are not professional plumbers. Thus, if you request the service, we will ask that you sign a waiver releasing us of any liability associated with disconnecting or reconnecting water lines and exhaust hoses.

The most common issue associated with moving appliances are leaks at the water connections. We recommend keeping an eye on the connections the first time you run your first load of laundry. We also recommend that you ensure your dryer hose is free of any holes or knicks before it is installed at the new location.

If you have a front-loading washer we strongly recommend having the shipping bolts (bolts that came with the dryer if you bought it new) that secure the drum. If you do not have them, we may ask you to sign a liability waiver since we can’t adequately protect the drum/washer during transit.

Finally, if the dryer outlet you are moving to is different from the outlet you moved from (it is a four-prong compared to a 3 prong for example) we will not be able to switch out the connections for you. Our movers will be able to walk you through the steps though and/or provide additional resources to help.

Yes! If you need packing services just let us know. We provide homeowners with either full or partial packing services. Whether you want our movers to come in and take all the stress away from packing every room in your home, or you just need some last-minute help or supplies, we have you covered. We can provide boxes and packing supplies to you at cost!

To make sure your pets are safe and sound we recommend keeping them in another room, in their crate, or at a friend’s place while we move. There can be movers in and out and the last thing we want is for your furry family members to escape, or worse, get injured!

For more information on how to safely move with pets, read our guide.

Our goal is to get your goods from point A to point B safely and intact! In the rare case that damage occurs, we do offer No Worries Damage Coverage.

As with other service industries, you may wish to thank your movers by offering a gratuity if they do a wonderful job. Keep in mind that gratuity is not expected but is certainly appreciated.

On average, our crews typically receive tips that are around 10% to 15% of the final bill. Of course, if your movers were super duper awesome you can leave more if you like. Conversely, if you didn’t feel the movers lived up to your expectations, you don’t have to leave a tip at all.

Super easy, super friendly, really pleasant experience. My movers were professional and fast and really careful with everything. They worked great as a team. I thought the pricing was really reasonable too and it only took the guys a couple of hours to move what I felt like was an insane amount of stuff. Thanks Einstein! Y’all are the best.
